J. MARK HEAVNER Mr. Heavner practices primarily in the areas of real estate, commercial law, collections, bankruptcy, and general civil practice. Mr. Heavner graduated from Davidson College (B.A. 1981) and the Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D. 1984). He was a member of the editorial staff of the Wake Forest Law Review. In 1984 he served as law clerk to Justice J. William Copeland, North Carolina Supreme Court, and from 1985-1986 he served as law clerk for Chief Justice Joseph Branch, North Carolina Supreme Court. He is a member of the Gaston County and North Carolina Bar Associations, and the North Carolina State Bar. In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Heavner is a member of Lutheran Chapel Church in Gastonia. He is also a member of Gastonia Kiwanis Club and past president of the Gastonia Evening Kiwanis Club. Mr. Heavner is a native of Lincoln County. Mr. Heavner is married to Susan Heavner and they have two children.
