JOHN H. RUSSELL, JR.
Mr. Russell practices primarily in the areas of workers’ compensation, housing, and commercial landlord tenant disputes.
Mr. Russell graduated from Princeton University (B.A. 1989) and the University Of North Carolina School Of Law (J.D. 1992). Prior to joining the firm, he had been in private practice and with the Gaston County Public Defender’s Office.
Mr. Russell is a member of the Gaston County and North Carolina Bar Associations, and the North Carolina State Bar. He was named to the list of North Carolina Super Lawyers in 2010 for workers compensation and has been a presenter for workers compensation and landlord tenant issues at National Business Institute and the Charlotte Regional School of Health and Safety programs.
In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Russell serves as the Chairman of the Gaston County Historic Preservation Commission and on the Board of Directors for Gaston Residential Services, Inc. He is a youth soccer coach, golf instructor, and enjoys skiing and canoeing with his family. He is married to Erin Russell, an attorney with Clariant Chemical Corporation in Charlotte. The Russells live in Belmont with their three children.
