Mr. Davis holds a B.S.B.A. degree from Western Carolina University (1970) and received his Juris Doctor degree from Samford University Cumberland School of Law (1973). He is a member of 26th Judicial District and North Carolina State Bar and North Carolina Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Davis has served on various committees of the 26th Judicial District Bar Association including the Medico-Legal Committee and the Fee Dispute Resolution Committee. He also serves as Vice President of the Alumni Control Board for Delta Sigma Phi at Western Carolina University. He has given seminar presentations on premises liability to the Carolinas Chapter of RIMS, the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and the Charlotte Claims Association.
Role at MHC
Mr. Davis enjoys a general civil litigation practice with a particular emphasis on premises liability, products liability, motor vehicle liability, commercial litigation and personal injury. His litigation experience began as an Assistant District Attorney for Mecklenburg County, North Carolina from 1973 to 1979. He was admitted to practice in the courts of North Carolina in 1973 and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a certified Superior Court Mediator and has an active mediation practice.
In addition to his professional endeavors Mr. Davis enjoys outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, camping and traveling. He resides in Charlotte and is a member of St. Francis United Methodist Church.
