Education

Mr. Cannon graduated from UNC-Charlotte (B.S. Management 2003) and Roger Williams University School of Law (JD 2007) as a Ralph Pappito Scholar. While attending UNC-Charlotte, Mr. Cannon was a summer intern in the Charlotte field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Role at MHC

Mr. Cannon practices primarily in the defense of workers’ compensation and civil litigation matters.

Professional Bio

Mr. Cannon has defended cases in North Carolina state and federal courts, and argued before the Court of Appeals of North Carolina and Supreme Court of North Carolina. He handles complex workers’ compensation cases and liability defense. He is a member of the Gaston County Bar and North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.

Personal Bio

Mr. Cannon was raised in Maine and moved to North Carolina in 2007 with his family. Prior to moving to North Carolina, Mr. Cannon attended UNC Charlotte from 2001-2003.

Mr. Cannon joined MHC in January 2020 after spending more than 10 years handling liability and workers compensation claims for a regional defense firm.

Aside from work Mr. Cannon stays busy raising and playing with his four children and family dog.
